This juried arts and crafts festival fills Main Street in tiny Weaverville, just 7 miles north of Asheville. From 10 AM until 6 PM, the Art in Autumn festival features 114 artists from across the southeast USA, along with live music. It's free to attend and park. Find high quality arts and crafts in all sorts of mediums including pottery, glass and photography. It's great for early holiday shopping with original art in all price ranges. Chat with artists.

Prizes for artists include $1,000 for Best of Show, $500 for second place and $250 for third place. It's held rain or shine, kicking off fall season.

The Weaverville area is home to many artists. You can visit them in their studios twice a year during the Weaverville Art Safari.

Directions: Weaverville is less than 10 minutes north of Asheville along the new Interstate 26. Take exits 18, 19, or 21 and follow the signs to downtown. Lake Louise Park is located just South of downtown on Weaverville Highway/Merrimon Avenue. Find free parking in many lots.
